Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington DC Capitol-Navy Yard

Overall I enjoyed my experience at the Homewood Suites. The location is fantastic, right on Main Street near a Metro access point. The staff was friendly and engaged. The hotel has nice amenities- hearty breakfast, pool, and exercise facility. The room was quiet, I did not notice ambient city noise. The clientele seemed to be more business focused (which also helped with noise reduction). The only negative that I found was that the rooms are old and rather weathered. My room was very clean, but there were stains/holes in carpet, electric blinds weren't functional, LCD on thermostat was dying, etc.

Leaving an overall score of 5. Location is amazing. Stayed for five nights and it was so great after a long day of walking to exit the Metro and have the hotel right across the street. Second time staying here. Our room was clean. Staff very friendly. Request for additional items met promptly with only one request. Fairly quiet except for sirens. Big city. Not much you can do about that. VERY close to the Nationals stadium. I'm talking one and half blocks. Lot of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. My only negative was the breakfast. They served these premade omelettes which were awful and one day powdered eggs that were so dry they were hard pellets. I would stay again.

Got two adjoining rooms for two adults and three kids. Plenty of space, awesome access to the green line Navy Yard station (across the street) and super walkable to plenty of variety of food spots. The breakfast is sufficient, nothing to write home about, and the pool is small AF, but it’s all about location. Parking each night cost more than $50 after taxes, but valet is quick and it’s free in/out during the stay.

The staff was wonderful: answered all our questions, helped when needed, were always professional and sweet. The room needs some attention: the carpet had a strange griminess to it and had holes. The bed was very stiff and the sheets are about six inches too short on the sides but they were clean, as was the room. The breakfast was always nice. The very best part is the metro entrance directly across the street.

The staff I interacted with (particularly the overnight night staff, valet & security) were incredibly friendly and just amazing in general. They truly made it an enjoyable stay. My room was clean and well stocked. I would definitely stay here again. I read some of the other reviews and had no issues with the hotel, room or staff. ..and i am a frequent traveler and did my due diligence with room and mattress checks when I arrived. Also the hotel is located walking distance to tons of things, particularly incredible food and drink options. Thank you for an incredible stay.

Read entire post for a fair review. Bravo. In 41,610 meals in my life, you did it! The top! You have reached an unprecedented level of horrible. The absolutely worst meal and thing (an object mislabeled french toast) that has ever entered my body. The worst breakfast and meal of my entire life. A creative and innovative approach to awful. It boils down to two options: boiled egg or bread. I admire the sheer determination it takes two be so bad at the simple things in life: toast, boiled egg, and bacon. The aged oil with a hint of bacon will piss your doctor off. The hard knock boiled eggs will cause long term gastrointestinal complications. The UFO titled french toast.. Im speechless. I got nothing. Worthy of the #1 spot. The absolute worse breakfast of all times. UPDATE: The breakfast got better the next and my stay was actually amazing because of the excellent service I experience while staying here. I am changing my rating because of the amazing people that cared for me and my family. I do think the breakfast can be improved, but the breakfast was free. I appreciate the management for reaching out but your team already did a great job changing my opinion.
